About

Architecture should be deeply personal, in tune to practicalities but also to what is meaningful, down to the smallest bespoke detail. It should be a quest to create spaces that are emotive through an innovative sensibility in design to shape the way we live in our contemporary world.  Architecture is the expression of its time and place. It can be said it is a representation of the spirit of the age. It is the desire to create an architecture that continues the tradition of expression, that values the past, considers the future, to define an appropriate present.

Archetype Architecture is a young, modern architecture practice based in Manila, Philippines. From the word 'archetype', defined as a collectively-inherited idea, symbol or image, that is universally present in the human psyche, the practice's preoccupation is in the designing of spaces that appeal our historical, anthropological, and phenomenological situation to create an architecture with meaning.

Established by its architect Adriel Lim, he earned his Bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Santo Tomas in 2015, and gained his architecture and construction experience with WTA Architecture and Design Studio and 8X8 Design Studio Co. He passed the architecture licensure exam in 2017.
