Apartments at Taguig

Located at a underdeveloped urban area at Taguig, Philippines, the apartments are a low-cost innovation utilizing its small eight by eight meter lot to its fullest extent through its studio-type programmed units and ascetic but industrialist finish. Surrounded by unfinished, concrete hollow block buildings in its vicinity, the apartments are a prototype in low-cost architecture by taking cues from this prevailing vernacular finish. Using new technologies in modular concrete masonry units, the apartments are a redefinition of a low cost material now designed elegantly as a democratic piece of modern architecture for the masses.
